Going into EME I had no idea what Diigo was. After having to do a few assignments with it, causing me to navigate it and bookmark on it I can see why many teachers and classrooms choose to use it. Diigo allows me to see what others in my group have bookmarked. When they bookmark it allows me to go to the direct article or website they are looking at without me having to go search it up myself. This is a great tool when a class may all being looking into research or websites and we can all share ideas to help when one may be stuck. However, I have to be honest in the fact it seems a little too confusing for my liking. I am more simple when it comes to sharing whether that just be a huge group discussion post where everyone posts their website or in class. However I can see how diigo not only allows bookmarking but also notes that can help even more.

Blogging as well, was never something I saw myself doing..let alone in a class setting. Whenever I thought about blogging I was quick to assume it is those people who want to make a difference, express their travels, be motivational, etc. After having been required to blog for this EME class It is not all that bad. Answering questions and writing how you feel and not necessarily having to bring facts into it creates a free writing environment. Also being able to see others blog posts and see what they have to say on the topic or questions allows me to learn a little more about a person or subject that I never would have thought of.

Fir my future classroom I could not choose between two Web 2.0 tools that I would use for my classroom. Those apps are Remind and Kahoot. If I were teaching in the age level of first graders I expect that my students will not be as mature or on top of assignments as I would of students in higher levels. Saying this, Remind is an app that I could allow students, as well as their parents to join where they can join a class remind group where I can send out reminders, updates, due dates, any anything else that they might need to remember when they are home and not with me. Secondly, Kahoot is a Web 2.0 tool I hope on using in the future in my classroom. Kahoot is an interactive game where I will be able to write questions to show to all the students on their own screen device where they will be allowed to race and test their knowledge as a competition. I have used cahoot before and I always found myself learning the information more when I had a friendly competition. Especially with the level of first graders they could benefit from interactive games to test their knowledge.

In Assignment 3, where we were to create a web design what I thought was going to be very difficult ended up being something somewhat easy and simple to do and follow. I went in thinking I needed to be some computer software engineer but I was proven wrong. I learned how to create a web page with multiple files and pages, implement and common license, as well as format the themes on each page. It combined all that we have been learning up to this point in a website page form. There wasn't much that I disliked about the Assignment, only with the exception of trying to format and create columns and sections to make the page pleasing to the eye. I couldn't figure out how to create section boxes on a page. Overall, I think it was an easier to follow and do assignment than what I was expecting.  My Website Diigo after having been using it for a couple assignments now, has become easier and more familiar to me. to use. Diigo is a great source to create groups within your class or f...

Distance Learning was introduced to me at a very young age, but was not completely understood or used until now. When I was in middle school and high school, distance learning was used in school and out. My parents introduced me to KhanAcademy and other websites they would have to a lesson each weekend to get ahead. However other apps such as notability, IXL, FLVS, etc are just a few of the apps I was introduced to in high school. These apps helped me watch lessons, practice vocabulary skills, and learn more in a subject out of the classroom when the teacher was not with me. Now that Covid-19 has brought everyone into remote learning, Distance Learning is the new norm. I have been in asynchronous and synchronous classes. I honestly have really liked a lot about  distance learning. It allows me to learn at the comfort of my room, as well as more time for work and myself because I don't have to physically go to classes. However, it has created isolation from meeting new people ...
