I believe that Teacher pages on a website are extremely helpful and beneficial, when used and updated properly. Teacher pages are not as common in the higher levels of learning from all that I have been able find. Typically you see teacher pages for students who are solely in one classroom with one teacher only. After looking through some school websites, with teacher pages I see a lot in common. Typically you will find a description of who the teacher is and little about themselves. They can include where they graduated from, what degree they earned, why they are interested in teaching, some fun facts about them. By doing this, this allows more of a connection and feel for the teacher when you may know nothing about them first hand. On the teachers pages you can usually find a class schedule, homework and assignments, learning objectives, etc. Now that classes are almost all virtual now, we can also notice teachers have places for homework turn ins, questions, zoom office hours, ...

Going into EME I had no idea what Diigo was. After having to do a few assignments with it, causing me to navigate it and bookmark on it I can see why many teachers and classrooms choose to use it. Diigo allows me to see what others in my group have bookmarked. When they bookmark it allows me to go to the direct article or website they are looking at without me having to go search it up myself. This is a great tool when a class may all being looking into research or websites and we can all share ideas to help when one may be stuck. However, I have to be honest in the fact it seems a little too confusing for my liking. I am more simple when it comes to sharing whether that just be a huge group discussion post where everyone posts their website or in class. However I can see how diigo not only allows bookmarking but also notes that can help even more.  Blogging as well, was never something I saw myself doing..let alone in a class setting. Whenever I thought about blogging I was ...

In all honesty, Twitter is not something I use day to day or am hundred percent familiar and comfortable using. Twitter was introduced to me when I was in high school. Everyone had twitter accounts before me and I was late to the party. It wasn't until everyone was talking about all the funny memes posted on twitter that I could not be part of until the memes were shown on Instagram. That was when I decided to get twitter. Then and now I never really used it all that much because I would just scroll through for entertainment and eventually I forgot about it. However I do believe that Twitter can be beneficial to those who use it. Through this course alone I have found out more and more about the benefits and uses for twitter. Whether thats staying updated on current news or joining twitter chats for education, to be even staying in touch and involved in your community and society in general. Twitter may be influential to me in my future career because as technology advances not on...

ELA stands for English Language Arts. I fall victim in being one of those people who thought these standards were solely for reading, writing, grammar, spelling, etc. Now after learning more about them it has come to my attention that these standards expand beyond what I use to think. The ELA Standards actually incorporate technology! Crazy at first to think but yet so obvious. As technology is growing and expanding our use of them for listening, speaking, writing on them also expands. Because of the more demanding needs of technology use the more the standards have changed to involve technology. An example is the standards for Grade 1. LAFS.1.SL.1.2. is a standard for grade 1 students to be able to use technology to listen to a reading via cd, computer, audiobooks, etc and be able to recite back the main points, arguments, or what they learned from listening to the person speak through the technology source. I personally feel prepared in using and applying this standard to my fut...
